Biography: Taren has always been a very bright woman. Even as a child her intelligence was apparent. Taren joined the Academy at the age of 18, and excelled in warp field mechanics. Upon graduating she continued to excel in the engineering department. After a being stationed at the Copernicus Ship Yard, she became involved in a relationship with a civilian engineer. The relationship was a strong one and they were married a short 6 months after they met. But a strong need to command had been calling her ever since she was joined. So Taren applied to the Command Staff Academy. Upon graduating Taren excelled in her chosen field. But her marriage was paying the cost. After a shore leave her husband and herself had worked out their problems, and Taren continued on with her career.

Personality Profile: Taren has always had a problem with wanting to be the smartest person in the room. This problem was only compounded by the joining.

Biography:Imzadi is definitely a creature of her upbringing.  Her father was half Vulcan/half Betazoid and her mother was full Betazoid.  She was raised on Betazed.  She is the oldest of three children.  Her father, wishing to convey his joy at her birth, named her "Imzadi" (meaning "first" or "beloved") and didn't realize the hell she'd go through in school.  Most of her primary education was taken on by her father, who also helped her deal with the early blossoming of her telepathic abilities.  Her father, a therapist, taught her many of her paternal grandfather's Vulcan ways in order for her to deal with the influx of thought noise.  She took to that very well, learning many techniques that would become invaluable to her as a counselor.  She not only has telepathic abilities from her mother's side, she also has great clarity of thought and focus from her father.  She can also perform a Vulcan mind meld, but because of her diluted heritage, she must perform it using both hands and the other participant must be willing.  She has an uncanny ability to push her emotions to the side and deal with horrific scenarios with precision and forethought, but is only able to push them down for so long.  They resurface after the event and cause all kinds of hell for her.

She tends to be solitary in her personal life.  When working with a client, she has the ability to allow people to deal with major issues and come out better for it.  She enjoys physical activity and is known for taking off "hunting" but no one has had the guts to ask her exactly what she's hunting.

Personality Profile: Imzadi Mavik can be open, warm and caring.  She can also be a cold hearted witch, but that doesn't happen too often.  When she is finished dealing with a particularly difficult situation, she will seek solitude in order to "cleanse" herself of the emotions that she held back.  If she doesn't do that fairly soon after the event in question, it could get messy.

Appearance: The palor common among the romulans is a fleshy tone tinged with green, and the young Korvi'at is no diffrent, his face holds the deepened V forehead, arched eyebrows and pointed ears as well as the fine black hair and jutting chin common to his race. He is not particularly tall for a Romulan but neither is he short, he has developed broad shoulders a well defined muscular structure and a pair of rough looking hands. A thick bar like neck shows off a prominant adams apple, which often begins to twitch when he gets irate. Korvi'at has one distinct feature, his left cheekbone has a dent in it, small but if one looks long enough it is a noticable depression about a quater inch wide just below his left eye.

Biography: Born on the Romulan planet of Remus in 2282 he grew up with a strange Romulan family that accepted a slightly less conquer all around us mentality. During his youth he studied several bare handed combat styles with Romulans from his village and was often thought of as likely to go far in the Romulan military.
His family came under suspicion from the Tal'shiar in 2295, this event led to their fleeing from Romulan space, barely reaching the boarders of the federation and only just succesfuly pleading for political asylum. His family had done nothing to betray the Romulans despite their slightly sympathetic views towards other races.
Korvi'at found it difficult growing up amoung the federation races and his family moved to a vulcan world to be around people more physicaly alike to themselves, they left one year after arriving and moved to San Fran Earth, the location of the StarFleet Academy and the least discriminatory area in StarFleet.
Korvi'at began learning the Klingon art of Mok'bara.
Korvi'at grew up learning the federation way and looking at the world through confused eyes, however he longed to be back on a ship, feel the hum of engines in the deck and see planets and stars through the view ports and watch them slide by.
He held no particular love of Starfleet or the Romulan Empire, he did however have more trust in Starfleets justice and righteousness compaired to the Empire and considering his state of unofficial exile he entered Starfleet Academy, choosing to specialise in the combative arts, as no one seemed willing to accept him as anything other than a person who shouted and shot at things.
Korvi'at has grown more attached to Starfleet as he has gained ranks and served in the fights and missions of peace and rescue that have occured through his Career.

Personality Profile: Korvi'at is a strong willed individual with a deep and commanding voice to match, only made more impossing by the arched eyebrows and V shaped forehead. He however at heart is rather a nice man, and doesn't take much pleasure in the reprimanding of younger officers.
He has grown a special place in his heart for StarFleet and so wishes to protect and help those within it.
However he can't escape the sometimes all consuming rage of his Romulan heritage, and finds an outlet for this in Mok'bara his romulan arts and the associated exercise programmes he carries with him from ship to ship.
